Saw this on the bay...

I looks nicer then the original 2 piece I have on my 96, no stitching.  I'd like to stick to 2 piece b/c I have dreams of a bobber some day.  Is this 05 any more comfortable then the stock 96?  It looks deeper / firmer - if you can tell by looking.

I can't help with your question since I haven't gotten an S40 yet (still saving for that day), but I was kind of disappointed to see that a lot of owners in this forum are as unhappy with the stock seat from Suzuki as most Rebel owners are with their stock seats.

At least on the Rebel, we have this Corbin seat available.

I can say after riding on my new Corbin for a week now that if the S40's seat really is as bad as the Rebel's that somebody with some knowhow can see if adapt this seat to the Suzuki. Even after 70-80 mile rides, my tailbone now feels like it could go for several hours more.

Yes, it will fit. I fit an 87 two piece seat on my 2000. Direct swap. Now if you were swapping a one piece for a two piece, then you would have some slight modding to do.

The Rebel seat is awesome.  I was talking with the buddies at the local honda/suzuki shop about stock seats on bikes.  He told me to have a seat on a rebel just to see how it felt.  I figured out afterwards that he already knew what my reaction would be.

It's like the seat moves with you in a way that's different than other seats.  I loved it.

2005 S40 came with a 1-piece seat from the factory.

No 2 piece from 05?  The posting must be wrong then.

Anyone know where that ebay seat came from then?  It looks nicer then my stock 2 piece 96 but it's tough to guess how it feels.
