Right side (as the rider sits) Chrome with a key hole beneath it. There ain't room enough left for anything other than a piece of paper though. Unless you toss the tool kit. |

Title: Re: storage? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 05/07/09 at 17:25:17 For a small bag for cheap, a lunch kit, just the small rectangular one, with a pair of flaps sewn on to velcro around the strap on the seat & 2 little D rings sewn onto the corners & a really skinny little bungee to go under the back of the seat. Or, you can get a gym bag & strap that onto the seat. I have one with a 1/8th piece of paneling sewn under it, another glued to that & one inside with D rings in 4 places. I can haul a lot in that. Having an upholstery sewing machine is handy, but even if I didnt, I coulda done this, just would have been harder. There are some small, very handy little tool pouches out there that will hold shades & small stuff, not too pricey. I guess if someone really wanted some storage space inside the frame, some mods, to ditch the airbox & move the battery some would be a good start. |
Title: Re: storage? Post by JohnBoy on 05/07/09 at 18:18:25 Yeah, really big pockets. Didn't Captain Kangaroo ride a Savage? I am coming from a Goldwing and two Kawasaki Voyagers, so getting used to no storage is taking a little time. And, while they were all very nice rides, I can honestly say that they were not as much fun as my '04 Savage. |
