my left rear blinker is blown(i assume from the laydown) so i opened it up, and it's alla corroded, muddy and will not budge...so i was looking @ it and went 2 wiggle it and i hear SNAP! the friggin wire that goes right to the back of the bulb pops out...crap! so i went & got an entire new blinker assembly...they're arrowhead shaped...there's only 2 wires but it's gonna take a little customizing to get the new ones 2 fit as they are alot smaller then the new ones....

my intention is to make it "rat rod-ish" since i love old school cars, bikes and tattoos....i'd like to have the bike painted flat black maybe with some red pinstriping....so i don't mind the rear blinkers looking different then the front ones....

and i'm contemplating new grips or mirrors...or both....i saw some mirrors that look like they came off a shelby...that would be sweet!

i took the 1st day of my msf course last night, and one of the instructors has a savage with a "chopper" front end and he takes his off road as well as regular duty. i thought that was funny ;D

An instructor who rides a Savage? Snap some pics of that one! :)

The instructor at my class rode a BWM and said he lived to ride in the rain... That he looked forward to the days when he'd strap on his rain suit and ride into work.

On the subject of Off Road use; I must say, when I first saw the Savage it put me in mind of the Grass Track bikes my uncle used to race. So if someone wanted to use one off road, I don't think you'd have to do much more than fit dirt tires on this baby.

When we were up in South Dakota for the Sturgis Rally we went off roading with two S40's. It did amazingly well, I was shocked. Up some crazy rocky stuff even.

if he's there this weekend i will definately take some pics!!

and i like the fact that the savage isn't rare or anything and u can do whatever u want 2 it...i see original muscle cars all the time violated and people always complain(like making a rare dodge daytona an automatic lol)

i'm hoping after i put the new rear blinkers on to do little things cosmetically....a k&n of course...and i'm contemplating saddle bags...i like the look of raw bikes....no wind shield no bags..NO TASSLES ! lol

my older friend laughs because when he was my age he wanted all the same things i do...now he has 3 kids and comfort, storage & def a windshield were on his list when he bought a concourse...

i also like being a little different...in a world where harleys are "the cruiser" and the yamaha's and kawasaki's look like they copied harley exactly...the savage seems to be a little on the "odd & unique" side...just like each of us on here i'm sure hahaa ;)

If you put knobbies on Lancer's ride, I'd swear it would look just like a dual sport bike. His bike has that kind of stance with his progressive rear shocks. It's pretty wicked.

OOOOOOOOH! gotcha! i was lost there for a minute!

i don't see why not...the savage isn't too much heavier then a dirt bike but has good torque i think....i'm not sure what suspension mods u'd have 2 do though!!
