The 86 Savage that I bought doesn't have a place to mount a mirror on the right side! There is one on the left but no attachment place on the right? What gives? Gene

The mount is integral to the front brake assembly. Someone must have swapped your front brake assembly with one from another bike with a different mirror setup.

It could've been broken off. and rather buy a new strap the PO could've polished it out.

I've thought about it. Right now I just glued a canadian dime over the hole until I'm sure what I'm going to do.
