Title: trailer fender Post by il67bp on 04/27/09 at 19:24:45 i want to buy a trailor fender. what specs do i need to know? like how wide and long |
Title: Re: trailer fender Post by matt_savage on 04/27/09 at 21:08:45 I got one from Northern Tool and while it fit over the tire perfectly, it's gonna take a decent amount of fab work to get it to work on the stock frame horns. For the time being I just lowered the rear fender 3/4" ala DiamondJim. I'm saving the trailer fender for later maybe. I'll try and find the part # if you're interested. -Matt |
Title: Re: trailer fender Post by LANCER on 04/27/09 at 21:36:21 They have a long one that will cover most of the tire, a medium one and a short one. I just got the medium a few weeks ago. Very good prices. |
Title: Re: trailer fender Post by Demin on 05/01/09 at 12:30:26 Northern Tool part #1263.Look in my build thread in the tech section. Before shortening. http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2008/04/25/bikepics-1265870-800.jpg After. http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2008/07/23/bikepics-1362541-800.jpg |
Title: Re: trailer fender Post by Demin on 05/01/09 at 12:34:44 The hardest thing is the mounting holes.Cut to your length, and round off the corners, and cutout for the belt. http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2008/07/25/bikepics-1364509-800.jpg |
Title: Re: trailer fender Post by eyeore302000 on 05/01/09 at 16:14:21 The fender on the bike in this link is a trailer fender from northern tool less than 20 bucks easy to work with think it was the medium length one. http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1236640233 |
