Title: Re: grips Post by verslagen1 on 04/22/09 at 22:34:54 unless you got aftermarket bars, there's a weight in there you ain't getting out. So no internal wiring. |

Title: Re: grips Post by verslagen1 on 04/22/09 at 22:58:44 Ok, 1st hurdle cleanly leaped. Next, take off the throttle grip, and compare with the picture. 2 screws on the control and split it. You don't have to take it completely apart, but spread it enough to take a look at how the cable attaches. You'll see that one side of where the cable attaches is longer. That's a stop. These don't have that. |
Title: Re: grips Post by il67bp on 04/22/09 at 23:01:28 darn. what the hell are these grips for? our grips actually turn and pull throttle cable right? how do other bikes work? |
Title: Re: grips Post by verslagen1 on 04/22/09 at 23:15:36 I think they're for dual cable harley's |
Title: Re: grips Post by pgman on 04/23/09 at 04:57:11 Those grips are probably "universal fit", which means you have to remove the OEM rubber and glue them onto the throttle sleeve. It is also possible that these are meant to fit newer Harleys, which are electronic throttle-by-wire. |
