Went into the dealer last weekend.

Sat on an S83, Hmmm... that tank and speedo would look good on an S40. [smiley=evil.gif]

Sharks kept nibbling and I ran out of questions that would send them scurring off for an answer. So I told them I was shopping for parts and they left me alone.

If you are looking for a speedo cup, this might be the one to look for. Definitely a side mount cable driven speedo.

Do you know what capacity the S83 (Intruder 1400) tank is? It doesn't look very big, and I think it's the same size as the S50 (Intruder 800). I guess though it would have to be bigger than the Savage tank, since they don't lose the space occupied by the speedometer console. Also, do you know how much modification/fabrication would have to be done to fit the Savage? It might be worth a try, huh?

3.4 vs. 2.8 so only a half gal more.

mounting at the rear looked the same, front looked higher.

3.4 would be nice.... not too big, but not too small....
this tanks just right....
