Title: Rear Shocks Post by Boston Biker on 04/15/09 at 04:59:15 Any suggestions about a replacement shock to use to soften the ride on an '07? Even with the shocks on their softest setting the ride is harsh for a light rider. |

Title: Re: Rear Shocks Post by ineclipse on 04/17/09 at 12:33:24 4005s are quite soft. Im 180 and on the highest setting. They're VERY comfortable and only bottom out on large bumps with a passenger. A million times better than stock even if i did get ones a bit light for me. The stock shocks just suck no matter what setting you're on. |
Title: Re: Rear Shocks Post by bill67 on 04/17/09 at 13:16:07 I think the 4233 are a little light for me at 165 I use the middle setting I think a shock that you use the lowest setting would be best, then if you have a passenger you can go up,and they do wear over time and get softer |
Title: Re: Rear Shocks Post by vtail on 04/17/09 at 16:59:13 I also use the 4233C 's and like them. weight 180# with gear |
Title: Re: Rear Shocks Post by Phelonius on 04/21/09 at 09:08:05 I need to go the other way. I need to stiffen mine up and maybe even get about 1/2 inch longer with stronger springs. Phelonius |
Title: Re: Rear Shocks Post by Reelthing on 04/23/09 at 13:57:36 I would think the 4236C w/it's 125/170lb sprngs are about as much as you can do and still it functional - Soft Ride 11" 412-4232C 90/130lb Standard 11" 412-4233C 115/155lb Standard 11.5" 412-4201C 115/155lb Heavy Duty 11.5" 412-4236C 125/170lb http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=RubberSideDown;action=display;n... |
