Do ya like it... LOL and the rep asked me if i wanted to trade my bike in... asked if he's ridden a SAVAGE he asked if i had ridden a CrossBones.. Hmm we're at a stalemate on that line of questioning
....I do LOVE the looks an oh it wont do much over 80 (cause of that springer front end??) ... like i need more of that!!! Id get a Hyabusa if that was my goal... what maroons! The beloved Savage stays!! PERIOD! .. Thoughts???

Ya know those are good ones... I like them alot an have loved to ride my friends 883's.... Problem is the leg room... they are a hoot! but then in 20 miles i gotta git off an work me knees out again.. felt like the tin man screamin for oyl in me joints... What I loved.. besides the springer and the bob look an the blacked out stuff an .. Oh well ... Was the stinkin leg room... I was barely bent at the knees on the floor boards.. it was wonderful...

Yep, leg room is very important. I really liked the way my sporty ran but with the standard foot pegs my knees were hurting in about only about 15-20 min...and I am a short squaty guy. That is one of the things I like about the Savage; the factory foot pegs are nearly perfect for my body/leg size.

My wife said that once when I was sitting in a Nissan 300ZX that cost a years salary. Didn't offer to buy it for me though.

I like what I could see. Ive always had a thing for springers. By Always I mean since I was a kid.Heck of it all is, Even if it 3 times the bike a savage is, I cant swing that kinda $$$ for a bike. I know me. I know Im gonna drop whatever I am riding once in a while. I couldnt stand dropping something that cost so dang much.

Of all the Harleys, the Softail Deluxe, Classic Springer, and Crossbones, sing the most for me, in that order.

Sat on a Sportster at the M.C. show a few months back. I'm short and I was still uncomfortable with the footpegs being back so far. The quoted $800 additional to get Fwd controls put on the bike. Did I mention I really like my S40!!!!! ;D

Seeing how we digressed from Harleys to Kawasaki Meanstreak, which I also like , by the way. My current favorite pick would be the Yamaha Star Raider decked out in Corbin bags and fairing.

Cant justify the price or lack of performance of harleys. Especially the roady. You can get comparable, if not much better performance from a metric cruiser.
