Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by doc5446 on 03/31/09 at 21:02:30 I'd like that look but in gloss black. Yonuh, did you use stock cables? |
Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by Yonuh Adisi on 03/31/09 at 22:13:20 Yes, they are the stock cables, I just needed to re-route them slightly. However, I did have the stock buckhorns to start with. I believe new cables will be needed if you are switching from the drag bars to the 10 inch mini apes. |

Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by Yonuh Adisi on 04/01/09 at 09:00:21 I got them at the Harley shop. As long as you get 1 inch bars they will work. |
Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by Bobbert on 04/01/09 at 23:29:59 Same bars as Yonuh's. $20 from the parts guy down at the Harley shop. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v189/Robertomoe/IMGP2036_2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v189/Robertomoe/IMGP2024_2.jpg |
Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by bell9440 on 04/02/09 at 05:50:00 did he use the stock cables and wiring? |
Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by Yonuh Adisi on 04/02/09 at 09:25:53 It was already stated that I used the stock cables and wiring, I just had to re-route them. But that only works if you are originally running the stock buckhorns, if you are running the drag bars, I believe you will need new cables and wiring. |
Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by Bobbert on 04/02/09 at 10:59:44 yep, stock buckhorn cables are stretched tight with the 10" bars |

Did you re-route your cables Bobbert? When I re-routed mine for the bars they fit just fine and not tight. I take that back, I just looked at my own pics again, they are a bit tight ain't they? But they work fine. Been so long since the FireLizard had the stock hydraulic forks I forgot what the stock cables looked like on it. ;) ;) |
Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by bell9440 on 04/02/09 at 14:42:21 you got any pics with the new forks? |

Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by Bobbert on 04/02/09 at 22:46:12 the front brake is tight but that would be fixed if I had the patience to change the angle the line is going into the reservoir and bleed the brakes |
Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by franch on 04/06/09 at 03:13:58 do they make a bar that's 10" but with less "pull back" ? |
Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by diamond jim on 04/06/09 at 05:21:10 That's what I had looked for- apes with little to no pullback. They are hard to find and expensive when you do. Seems like the only bar I found online like that was about $125. |

Title: Re: 10" bars pics Post by Chopped on 04/07/09 at 15:38:02 You know you can always get some cheap apes... and take a torch to them to straiten them out.... just heat and bend! Will take out most of the pull back and should work just fine! Im all about fabin my own stuff! If I had time I could build you some nifty Z-bar...ish bars for any highth! |
