My buddy over on another forum suggested that we come up with initials after our bike model like other Suzukis because many of our bikes are not stock and requires us to explain in length or show pics to convey our bike's style. He recognized that this site is the authority on the S40/Savage and that if this site established the designations they would certainly become universal over time. Seems like a cool idea although I'd probably get lazy and forget to add it out of habit. Anyhow, I thought I'd share his idea and let you all support it or shoot it down.

S40 Savage (stock)
S40B Savage-B (Bobber)
S40T Savage-T (Touring)
S40C Savage-C (Custom)
S40R Savage-R (Rat Bike)

Based upon the pictures of the bikes that I have seen on this site, I would add:

S40CA Savage-CA (Cafe)
S40CH Savage-CH (Chopper)

S40BA = Bagger
S40BO = Bobber

Or are those too close?

I guess I'll officially start it. I've got an '06 LS650 C.

I figure the designations are:
LS650 (stock)

LS650 C (Custom- includes any changes of exhaust, bars, seat, paint, bags, pod filter, etc., the usual mods)

LS650 B (Bobber- Custom + solo seat + rear fender mod)

LS650 T (Custom + bags + shield)

LS650 R (Rat Bike- Bobber + looks ugly and cool at the same time)

LS650 CH (Chopper)

Post suggestions for better definitions.
