Title: Padding stock pegs
Post by vhfkid on 03/05/09 at 16:16:51

OK, the wife and I are going on a multi-state trip to California and I'm needing some ideas on padding the stock pegs, for both of us.

I have EdL's forward controls, but have yet to mount them, the wife fits just fine with the stock peg location.

I don't really have the $$ for Kuryakyn pegs or nice floorboards.

Any and all ideas would be appreciated!

thumperclone, I have a set of Ed L Forward-Controls to install and I was thinking about highway pegs later - did the highway pegs get in the way of FC?  Did you have pegs on the OEM bar like mine?

:o padding?

strap a plank on top of the 2 (rider screamer) pegs.  Secure with U bolt.  Apply grip tape to the top.

Oh yeah, idea from asia.   ;D

I just bought a pair gel insoles for $14 for weightlifting.  Noticed that my feet felt much less vibration on the ride home from the store.

That's a good idea, hadn't thought about insoles, I wonder if my boots will fit some like yours. I guess I'll have to go to Academy sporting goods and see if they have something similar.
