Does any one have any pics of an 88 LS650 thats "maroon" hoping that would be the right color of the bike I am picking tonight so I can order the side cover.

My '96 was maroon before I went to black..

Ahh thats more what I expected, almost purple.  Well the bike I am grabbing tonight is red.  So its gotta be a custom paint job.  I think I will skip replacing the side cover for now.  I think I have an idea along the lines of the other members dog bowls/truck caps.

I was surprised mine was shown as maroon on the docs as it looked too red to me.

I found this link - http://www.cyclechaos.com/wiki/Suzuki_LS650

which has the ('88) darker color as maroon in the suzuki brochure pics, and the red maroon in bike pics from '95, so all very confusing really!

Looks like maroon got redder in the nineties  :-/

Bugs Bunny was the one that coined the phrase,"What a maroon" and the other was I think, "What a in cow poop".

The pic's really don't do the color justice.
When I got it, oh dark red.
Then I washed and waxed, OH BABY IT'S RED!
It's a dark metalflake red, quite stunning.
