...So where do I get longer cables that will work with these 7/8 diamenter 15" ape hangers??

You'll also need to get new risers and controls. Our bars are 1" diameter.

For some reason I thought we had the 7/8" diameter bars?? So my stock buckhorns on my 98 are 1" diameter bars?? That makes things much easier then. Ok so if/when I get my ape bars in, where is the best place to get longer cables for the bar controls? TIA

I had 15" apes on mine and used the factory controls and cables... was tight but worked! When you put the bars on and they dont work, let me know and I know someone who makes custom cables at any length you want!

Can I go ahead and order cables 12" longer than the stock ones from him? I just want everything already here when I tear into it spring break.

You will have to call them and specify what you need. You may be able to e-mail them as well! I haven't talked to them about my controls yet, but I have a couple of buddies that did it and were very happy!
