Hello everyone! This is Jay from Los Angeles. I recently bought an '86 Savage with just 10k miles on it. I got a great deal, but its leaking oil and after looking through these forums I believe its the common plug problem. I want to fix it myself but I go to school and work so I just don't have the time, especially b/c I've never worked on an engine before and I don't want to mess anything up. Is there anyone in the Los Angeles area (or any mechanics/shops you can recommend) who can help with this? I went to some mechanics and they wouldn't even touch the bike b/c of its age (sport bike stealership...typical)

Hi j, welcome. Where abouts are you?

I'm near city of hopeless.

The head plug is annoying but unless it's leaking alot such and spraying your clothes with oil, then you can just keep an eye on the oil level till you can afford the time to fix it.

I've never had any work done for me, so can't help in that regard. But if you need help, just holler.
