Hi,
I have a 1986 Savage with the stock handle bars set up. Want to put on a stock 2008 handle bar set up which has the approx 6 inch riser with the semi flat handle bars. Do I need longer clutch cables, brake lines and wiring ? Has anyone done this before ? Any ideas would great.

No, the wires for the buckhorns are a little longer than for the drags even with the risers.

If anyone reads this and wants the longer cables..I have the ones that came with the buckhorns and I'm now running straight bars w 1.5" risers. If you would like to trade let me know. From memory, I think the one that bothers me most is the front brake line.

88pagan , What happen to you front brake line ? Was it too long ?
