Title: Side covers (clutch and stator) Post by Savage_Amusement on 02/07/09 at 08:01:48 I searched around about removing the crankcases, I remember I saw something awhile back and now I find nothing. I set it to search for a year back so it may have been longer. Anyhow Is there a whole lot involved in the process? I'm not scared to take things apart and put them back together. That is what I do for a living. I'm looking for tips and heads ups. Thanks!! Edited because I'm a retard. |
Title: Re: Did I miss the crankcase posts? Post by verslagen1 on 02/07/09 at 08:54:49 think engine removal rather than crank case. not much to it. remove all bolts and brackets lay bike down on a pad on right side wiggle the engine till free and stand it up lift and put on bench call medic |
Title: Re: Did I miss the crankcase posts? Post by Savage_Amusement on 02/07/09 at 09:02:52 I just want to take the two sides off so I can have them powder coated. |

Title: Re: Did I miss the crankcase posts? Post by Savage_Amusement on 02/07/09 at 09:28:23 Prolly why I didn't find anything when searching lol. Sorry. I think I'm going to do that today. Gotta do it sometime right. |
Title: Re: Side covers (clutch and stator) Post by Savage_Amusement on 02/07/09 at 10:24:39 I kind of found what I wanted under a thread called Cam Chain adjuster check. Yeah not doing that today. Kind of forgot I need something to hold my bike up. Once you loosen the kickstand part it kinda will want to lean over. At least I thought of this before I got anywhere. So I swept the garage floor instead. :-[ |
