Just curious to how long our machines can go. So who on here has the highest mileage ? state year and mileage and anything special you did to make it last that long

he clearly is the winner, i had a gn400 a smaller thumper than the savage 98,000 before i scrrewed it up ran it out of oil an killed it.

the key who cares what type, just change it frequently....if the navy taught me anything it's man made thingw work better when lubricated properly

We've probably had this thread several times in the last couple of years... but everyone's mileage changes if they ride regular!

My 99 that is pictured at the bottom of my posts is only a couple of hundred miles from passing 30k!

The other 99 is approaching 15k.

But the poor old 87 still hasn't broken 7k yet.

I guess the two old grandpas who owned the 87 before me never even
rode it hard enough to pop the plug in the head. But I did. ::)

Now I get to fix that drippy smoke hole this winter... :'( :D

1987 30.000 miles and the engine dropped an exhaust valve ... I have torn it down now and have to decide how much to put back into it ... a nice wrenching project for my 17 year old son ...

I put 51,000 on the original motor, found a salvage engine and replaced it. Chasis has total of 58,000. So I think I'm in second place.
