Title: Got it home.
Post by mikestrikes on 11/07/08 at 07:40:43

Well got my Savage in my shop last night. Now the fun starts...

Rear wheel is shot, was going to sell it but it has a big bend in it.
Rear fender has a small dent in it that is an easy fix if someone wants one thats not 100%.
Fuel tank has been repaired with JB WELD at the rear mounting tab. And a few dents in it.
The rest looks fine other than it dirty'r then an old man on the blue pill.

I'll start to take it down this weekend and post pics as I go but the build up will be a long slow deal so dont think you will see build pics every day !

So who needs a Carb after I clean it to like new ?
Front caliper will also get rebuilt and to who ever needs/want it.
Pulleys and belt also.

After take down I'll asses whats keep or not and post pics for those that may want or need parts..

96* Savage with 12,700..............

Steely wanted a left engine case. I'll call dibs on his behalf.
The rear fender and tank I'd like prices on it.
Cool.
Srinath.

I would still like to have the front brake rotor if you are still willing to part with it.

Thanks for thinking of me srinath, but I think I am good with my old repaired cover.  The guy who TIGed it for me did a really good job.

Mike I need the small belt pully ,how much?
I just now discovered mine is just about shot,it's been rubbing against the case and it's worn thin. You can see a picture of it under my thread titled "Churping noise" in rubber side down.
thanks Mike                                          Mick

Oh well...  Had to try...  Our SCRC group does a lot of flower sniffin' type rides...  Most likely we won't be over there anymore this season, but I'll try to remember to let you know when we're gonna' be in the area...  Maybe hook up for a burger...  (We always Ride to Eat)...  LOL
