Title: Squeeky Brakes Post by Snowbum on 11/06/08 at 08:44:17 A buddy of mine has a Suzuki Valusa 800, and he and I were riding not too long ago, and I am having lovely squeaky brakes. He said all suzukis that he knows of have the front brake squeal. Is that true or should I be taking my front caliper apart and changing pads? I bought the bike back in July, and the brakes have always had squeak to them, and because he said that they do that I didn't think much about it, and my bike has no problems stopping, and I don't hear grinding, so... If you could ease my mind and tell me they really do all squeal that would be great :) Scott |

Title: Re: Squeeky Brakes Post by verslagen1 on 11/06/08 at 09:57:32 common complaint is front braking announcers. couple of solutions: 1. wash disk with soap and water, dry well. 2. dry well, brake slowly to heat disk till hot. 3. replace with squeakless pads, EBC reds. 4. anti-squeak on back of pads. |
Title: Re: Squeeky Brakes Post by bill67 on 11/06/08 at 10:04:57 Thats new to suzuki in later years,my last 2, 1500 and Boulevard S40 do,I had 6 others that didn't,New pads on Boulevard S40 now it don't .Put crc disk brake quiet on back of pads helps a lot.best if it drys over night. |

Title: Re: Squeeky Brakes Post by odvelasc on 11/06/08 at 15:27:32 well atleast cars can now hear you coming up lol. Try driving and lightly pressing the front braking without locking it up to bring for a halt. Do this at higher speeds, and your squeak should go away for a while. |

Title: Re: Squeeky Brakes Post by verslagen1 on 11/06/08 at 19:51:51 It don't take a lot, anti seize, hi temp bearing grease, just a thin smear. |
Title: Re: Squeeky Brakes Post by bill67 on 11/07/08 at 03:51:54 What I'm taking about is like a rubber not a grease |
