Spent all day putting a sportster seat onto my bike (pics, etc to come on that once its all tweaked out) - got on it to go to the grocery store and she ran fine - got on it to leave the sotre and had a rattly noise coming from it. Seems to happen when I pull in the clutch.

I pull the clutch it rattles, kind of clicks, acts like its going to die out, but doesnt. it idles and seems to run just fine. it's just when I pull in the clutch.

And another weird thing - after this happened, I went to chekc it out - put in the key, was in neutral, flipped the kill switch on, and it started up! didn't use the start switch, juts turned the kill switch back on to run.

Almost like it's rejecting the new seat(?)

One thing I can think that I did was move the rectifier. Does that njeed to be grounded to metal? I just reattached it to a different spot using double sided tape.

Any help will be appreciated!

this ended up being a loose clutch cable! I may be paranoid but I have a suspicion someone messed with it in the parking lot. hmmm
