is there a such thing as forward controls for a 1987 savage? i think i would fit alot better with these. if anyone knows a place where i can buy them id like to know because i only found one site and they were $640. thank you

ed l. makes forward control plates. i bought a set and many others have as well. do a search in the for sale trade section. i love mine, and have the same year bike as you.

he is a member of the forum. I have a 5" set from him. I am 6'4" and they help quite a bit. Do a search on the forum for forward controls and his name will surely pop up.

i HAVE A SET OF ED'S 4" EXTENSIONS AND FIND THEM GREAT.I'M 5'10" IN HEIGHT ABOUT 170LBS, THE 4" MADE A NOTICEABLE BETTER RIDE ON MY SAVAGE.

I think if it goes any lower I'll clobber these parts into the ground even more than I currently do ... forward and up I think ...
Who knows ... maybe my chopper wont handle all that well. So maybe down is OK ... time will tell.
