You can put SeaFoam in the gas,you can also put some in the fuel bowl if you have it off,It takes a day or so for the SeaFoam to clean the carb

Or, you can forget the SeaFoam, and avoid wasting your money and time. All gasoline has, by Federal decree, a cleaning additive designed to keep fuel injectors clean. You already paid for it, when you bought your gas. No point adding something that doesn't work.

The best ways to improve your carb are to remove the idle mix screw brass plug to adjust your idle mixture for your local conditions to reduce backfiring, and also do the white spacer mod to improve intermediate throttle response. Have you done either of those?

My S40 doesn't have fuel injectors,That why I use SeaFoam.Or you could just run some gasoline through it.
