I have been riding on her for about two months with a rigid frame... not to bad at all... until you hit 65mph!!! There will be more pics to come when I have her done! |

Title: Re: My Rat Savage! Post by mikestrikes on 10/20/08 at 18:14:38 White Trash............... I like it.. What rear master cylinder setup is that ? When I get started on my Trike I will only use a rear brake, it will be hydraulic but I want a cable lever up on the bars..... that setup you have would work.... |
Title: Re: My Rat Savage! Post by Chopped on 10/20/08 at 21:18:44 The rear brake cylinder is actually from the front brakes off my Savage.... I riged up a pulled type system to run the brakes.... they look like nuts but work better than I ever could have imagined! Relatively simple to design and build. |
Title: Re: My Rat Savage! Post by dropoutjohn on 10/21/08 at 15:33:40 8-) good stuff bro! |
Title: Re: My Rat Savage! Post by sakara on 10/22/08 at 07:53:18 As you don't have an airbox, is the weight of the carb and filter a concern? any sagging or stress on the front mount, etc.? Thinking of pulling my airbox and throwing a cone on there but was wondering if a support is needed, though yours looks like its holding up fine. |
Title: Re: My Rat Savage! Post by Chopped on 10/22/08 at 08:34:13 The weight doesn't matter... its holding up fine even with all the vibrations from the bike! |
Title: Re: My Rat Savage! Post by sakara on 10/22/08 at 08:39:53 nice; thanks! |
Title: Re: My Rat Savage! Post by Chopped on 10/22/08 at 08:50:05 Just remember to tighten everything down holding the carb on! |
