Post by blacksheep23 on 10/08/08 at 12:06:12

Abt the lancer's jet kit.
The two small spacer that I got, where do I put them?the main jet or the pilot jet?if I put them on the main,it's too small....
Help.before I put everything back on.

I believe (but don't quote me on it) that those two spacers are for the white spacer mod that is accessed through the top of the carb inside the slide.

so does that mean I have to take out the whole carb??

If you do not want to do the spacer mod, just re-jet. But from what I understand you may not have to take the carb out to do the spacer mod, just pull the seat and tank and the top of the carb is right there staring at you.

I personally always take the carb out when I do any kind of work to it, but that is just my preference.

But like I said before, don't quote me on this, hopefully one of the other more carb experienced folks will chime in.

I think it's easier to work on the carb on a bench as opposed to being all scrunched over at the bike. It's not hard, just remove the battery box and undo the rubber hose clamps and lines. You should be able to pull it right out. (stay focused now). You don't need to pull the tank or speedo cable neither.
