Title: Front brake caliper Post by Justinmkantor on 09/21/08 at 23:57:57 Wanted to make sure my low mpg's are from carb issue which I know I have and not from a sticky front brake. I jacked up the bike and the wheel spins once and stops. When it says "to see if the caliper is sticky see if the wheel spins freely" like a bike tire or do you mean freely without grinding. How much spinning is good spinning? :-? |
Title: Re: Front brake caliper Post by justin_o_guy2 on 09/22/08 at 03:39:00 Watch the rotor edge. If its leaning back & forth, its warped. Does it "Oulse" useing the front brake? I cant know how much OOOMPH you are using to spin it, but I would expect more than 1 turn. Does it stop in the same place every time? Sign of warped rotor. |
