Title: turn signals working/not working
Post by WebsterMark on 09/19/08 at 16:12:08

My turn signals have suddenly begun working only intermittently.
Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. Headlight, horn and high beam all work during the time the turn signals do not, but the flashers do not work when the turn signals are out. I first thought it was a loose wire inside the turn signal switch, but because the flashers do not work at the same time, I’m not sure about that.
Any ideas?

kinda',..off-on-off-on...?  That's how they're supposed to work!

Just kidding...sounds like the flasher,..under the tank right-side.  You can buy universal types cheap at auto parts stores.  If you plan on getting LED lights in the future get a thermal type flasher.

Another thing to check is the wiring connectors under the seat - they run right under the seat...bouncing around on the seat may have jared 'em loose - happened to me. The connectors are protected with a clear plastic cover - this cover could slip down the wire a bit and cause the circuit to come in contact with the frame.

I thought the thermal flashers were for incandescent bulbs and the electronic flasher was for LED or low amp lights.

Thanks for the input, i'll check the flasher.
Serowbot, i still have the picture of your bike. I'm going to put longer shocks on over the winter, some fork boots and also maybe raise the front fender like a supermoto bike. Not sure how that's gonna look, but i'll give it a try.

I'll be expecting you to post some pics of your Super-Moto Savage this winter!
Ride safe,
