Some time ago someone installed a side mount car air filter, and was in the process of testing it..(Sluggo?). The idea offered the best of both worlds....plenty of breathing while using a paper element offering superior filtration in a housing that would calm air turbulence. What were the final results of that modification?

I sort of think he took it off. Trying to remeber why :-?.

I think the consensus was that the air moved at such a velocity that it went in the front side and out the back...... and had a hard time going into the carb at speed ....

It was definitely Sluggo's. I thought it looked nice......

I think it was sluggo.

He put a stainless steel bowl over it... it was sucking on his leg. I don't think he liked the leg hickeys. ::) Or maybe someone else didn't. :o
