Anyone here with the Wingerline Engine Guard/Hiway Bar care to offer up some dimensions? Maybe a sketch and/or some pics?
Thanx!

SavageRob has pics here with the Wingerline Bars on his bike.

(Look in the topic of Lets see You and Your Ride.)

He's the only one I know of with them.

Could be others though :-/

It seems like they are 27 or 28 inches wide, but cant remember for sure.

I put a set on my daughter's 1995 LS650. They're nice. What dimensions are you looking for? It would be this weekend before I could measure it.

Am looking to possibly have a set fabricated out of steel electrical conduit ... so any all dimensions would be deeply appreciated!

You would have to use thick wall conduit and that's a bear to bend.  And the galvinized coating makes welding have issues (fumes).    The standard bendable conduit would only make cosmetic engine gaurds.  They would bend too easily to to protect in a fall, to use to lift/jack the bike , to use as a step, etc etc.

definitely agree with TMack.  I ordered mine from Accessories International (or something like that) for around $200 shipped. It's a serious functional engine guard, nice heavy chrome plate. Looks good and went on with no probs.

The only problem is that they've been out of stock for the past 3 months (and possibly longer).

I just shipped off my monthly e-mail to see if they have them in yet... :-P

I just called them and Accessory Intenational is out of stock with no E.T.A. on restock.

The e-mail I just received said out of stock, due in about 20 days...

Another idea would be to use galvanized fence post (the top rail about 1 1/4 inch OD), and have a muffler shop bend it for you (best ask on a non-busy week day).

As far as welding, if you have it jigged - they might be able to do that for you also (dont expect great looking). This is more of a negotiating job than a wrenching job.

I had originally thought about having some made, called a local welder and after talking to him.....even though he was the cheapest around,I decided it would be cheaper to buy the Wingerline bars.
That is if I was going to have them made and chromed.

But,I have no idea what Perry has in mind :-/

Maybe it would be cheaper to make, with some type of material and just "painted" black or some other color :-/
