Title: Custom Seat
Post by sharp21 on 08/09/08 at 12:46:38

I am looking to get the seat on the wifes bike shaved down & recovered in leather, with some kind of pattern in it.
Has anybody done this with the stock seat?  Ive been trying to find somebody to use but with no luck so far...

No cool stitching but here's my slimmed down S40 dual seat and Savage solo seat. I have since sold both of these.

Did you do those yourself or did someone else do them?

strangling, those are very nice!

Have you got any solo seats available now?  Also, I'm looking at fender bibs on the Mustang site, but can't tell which one will fit my 2000 Savage.  Do you know?  Thxxxxx

Sorry I don't have any seats. I was going to have them made to sell but it just wasn't cost effective for me to do so. But using the stock seatpans you can actually make the Savage seat reasonably comfortable by changing up the shape.

All you need to do is draw up the seat shape that you think will work and have a local upholsterer reshape and re-cover it for you.

I think most fender bibs will work but mine was a Mustang brand one for a Honda Ace

Or these guys used to make a specific one for the Savage

That second one is getting close to what Im looking for.
She wants more of a gunfighter shape & a little narrower up front so she can get to the ground easier.
Also a tuck on the leather...  And some engraving.... Not asking for much!

Edit:  Not unlike the daytona sport regal plush on the lepera website.  Wont let me direct link to it though...
