We sold my wife's 2003 Savage today. 6700km, windshield, backrest, Mac muffler and just serviced, mechanically perfect, cosmetically perfect........
Drumroll please....
We got our full asking price $4500.00

now to start my 1990 Savage project.

Congratulations. I guess I'll scratch "Look in Canada for a used Savage for Kay" off my to do list. Good grief! Were those HongKong dollars or something?

I just spoke to the dealer the other day. 2009 models will sell for right around $4500 USD when they get here.

I meant to ask the OP, what's the price in his part of Canada. Prices in US and Canada are not comparable at all, even though it's getting better these days. However, thank you for the info.

Equally outfitted new S40 is just under $7000 plus tax, which here in BC is 7%

Oh my ... Here, in Edmonton, it would be around $5700 (accessories in) plus tax (just the GST). I guess, the price is adjusted for the number of days in a year we can actually ride :)

I was just going by Suzuki Canada's web listed price for bike and accessories: 6199.00 for the bike, 205.59 for the windsheild, and 537.52 for the back rest. Total is $6942.11 plus tax and any freight or PDI

I should go up there and sell my 06 and buy a new 09 I could pay cash.
