Title: Re: sparking plug Post by justin_o_guy2 on 07/24/08 at 20:27:56 You can have the right size in hand & STILL not get the plug out. It takes a real thin walled socket. Size? Its the smaller spark plug, same as all, 2 sizes, is it 5/8ths & 3/4ths? |

Title: Re: sparking plug Post by verslagen1 on 07/24/08 at 21:19:42 neither 5/8's or 3/4. 18mm I believe |
Title: Re: sparking plug Post by LANCER on 07/25/08 at 04:29:36 Thanks for sturring my furtile mind guys. After reading this thread and being reminded again that the space for a socket is extremely limited, I am going to enlarge the area before the head goes back on the engine. That way I can use the socket of my choice the next time ai need to get in there. |
Title: Re: sparking plug Post by Toymaker on 07/25/08 at 05:54:17 When I first got the "old Girl", I didn't have the tool kit for the bike...I still don't. So I went to Sears and got a thin-walled 18mm socket. It works well with my 3/8 in drive. |
