Title: What if? Post by Peteraa on 07/24/08 at 09:27:31 What would happen if I use the mikuni pilot jet with 4 holes insted of the one with no holes on the side? I want to go from 47,5 to 50 in order to make my Sav perfect. I have put on a Silvertail muffler, shaved a little on the white spacer raised the needle one groove and put in a 130 main jet. No shooting but a bit hesitating on low trottle and adjuster screw out 2,75 turns. |
Title: Re: What if? Post by Educatedredneck on 07/24/08 at 10:10:32 I hope you mean a 150 main jet, for a 130 would be too small I would think. You should be ok using the 50 pilot jet, it might let you turn your air mixture screw in a turn. |
Title: Re: What if? Post by Sandy Koocanusa on 07/24/08 at 10:18:30 I put the #50 pilot in and dropped 10 mpg overnight. I'm told that can't happen, but I have the receipts to prove it. |
Title: Re: What if? Post by Peteraa on 07/24/08 at 12:56:25 No I mean 130 mainjet. The bike had a 125 before,Swedish you know. But the problem is the pilot jet.I have some with holes on the side but the one thats in the carburettor has´nt,will they work or not, that is the question as Hamlet would have said if he was riding a Savage. |

Title: Re: What if? Post by Peteraa on 07/26/08 at 07:17:46 Well,I tried one pilotjet with holes (I´ve now learned that they are called bleeder holes in english, why cant everybody speak swedish,it would be more practical) it didnt work, no idle.Anyway I dont have to remove the carburettor to change the jets so it was worth trying. |
