Title: Paint reference Post by bioician on 07/22/08 at 03:00:11 I got a 86' Savage, that is still the original red color. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a paint number or factory color. I've looked around and can't find one. My plan is to have it painted but wanted to keep some of it the original color.

Title: Re: Paint reference Post by Demin on 07/22/08 at 13:41:38 If you have a nice,clean shiny spot on it you can take the part to alot of paint dealers and they can computer match it.DuPont's color computer is called a spectrograph(I think)It "looks at the paint then formulates it,then it can be mixed.
