Where can I buy a petcock valve mine is broken, my local stealership wants $85.00 and I have to wait 10 days. :-/
It's for a 2001 savage.

Hey tony why do you say it's broken?

I guess is broke cause it keeps shutting off the bike, but if I switch to res or pri it will run fine all the time.
I really like the idea of not having to turn the fuel off everytime i shut off the bike, So I'm not really thrill with the idea of the manual petcock mod, but If the best price for a new valve is $83.00, I can learn to shut off my fuel in a jiffy. ;)

Have you tried replacing the vac hose?
and make sure you have clamps on the ends

I would try fixing it first, but Crotchrocket.com has that part for about $61.

Most dealers will match online prices so you may be able to save on shipping. Some profit is better than none you know.

I replaced the vac hose and used clamps at both ends, it runs but after a while if a let go of the throttle it will stall.
If I run in pri it runs great all the time.

Have you pull the petcock off the tank and disassembled it?

otherwise, convert it to manual.
