Title: Clymer LS650 Savage/Boulevard S40-1986-2007

Just got the latest version of the Clymer's for Suzuki. (M384-4) What's with the carburator specifications on page 208? It shows 3 different columns all listing the Mikuni BS40SS with different specs. It lists 3 different main jets and 2 different pilot jets. I can see the California specifications being different but what is which or which is what?

My 05 S40 is listed in the Suzuki service manual as an LS650K5 model with the main jet listed as #145, Pilot jet #52.5, carb. Mikuni BS40SS.  Hope this will help you figure out what column your might be.

What year is your bike?

I haven't looked at the book, but I can tell you that the '87 came stock with a 47.5 pilot and a 155 main jet.  Whether that helps or not, I don't know.
