I was cleaning up the oil spill my brother caused when we were tearing down the FireLizard earlier today (clean up was earlier not the tear down) when a guy walked by and noticed the FireLizard.

He came up to me asked if it was a custom. (duh, that's obvious) I told him yep, it USED to be a 2000 Suzuki Savage and I told him the modifications I had done to it. He said it looked really cool and just wouldn't stop raving about it.

It made me feel good knowing that some one thinks my handy work is nice. He asked if I built bikes and I told him that the FireLizard was actually my first attempt.

He then stated that he has a bunch of bikes at his uncles that are just wasting away because he doesn't have the time or money to get them running and wants to sell them cheap. I might take a look at what he's got and try to make a deal.

Though I have pics of the FireLizard posted pretty much all over the site, here ya go.

its not ALWAYS nice when someone approaches. I frequently get "dudeman" encounters. A few days ago a big burly hairy tattooed guy comes up wide eyed and excited "Hey buddy, what bike IS that!? I love it." I didnt even get to finish saying "Suzuki Savage". As soon as he heard suzuki his face soured he shook his head and started walking away...toward his van.

Just tell them "It's a Savage." When they get the blank look on their face, shake YOUR head like "You've never heard of the Savage?" Then turn your back and walk away, toward your bike.
