Title: New owner, where to find owners manual
Post by Jebus on 07/10/08 at 19:13:57

Hi All.  I surprised my wife tonight with a used 2007 s40.  I bought the bike on Monday so I've been doing some research here for a few days.  I've seen a couple threads  mention an online version of the owners manual (I don't think we got one) but I haven't been able to find it on this site.

Can anyone point me to a link?  Thanks so much.

BTW... this is her first bike.  It seems like it would be a good starter bike to me!   :)

Jebus,
It should be noted that the above link goes to the 2002 manual.

There are some additional handle bar switches on the 2007 (flash to pass , 4-way flashers ???),  but everything else in the linked file is good to use.

On the Boulevard S40 the S40 stands for 40 hp Special.

Thanks everyone!  I have a few more questions about our new little friend, but I'm going to do some footwork on my own first.

This is a great community!  Thanks again.

Sorry Bill 67 someone has mis informed you. The 40 in S40 is a name change for the US market, (the bike is no longer available in the UK).

If you look it up you will find that 40 cubic inches is exactly the same capacity as 652 CC., and thats all it is, (a different way of saying 650).

However I have previously researched the subject due to buying a 2nd hand late engine that is from an S40, and the later savage engines are claimed to produce more power.

See the thread I am staring in the technical sect, (I hope you will find it interesting.

I have discovered quite a few interesting bits of info on the models history.
