Title: Online Clymer manual Post by Steve M on 07/06/08 at 16:43:16 Somewhere on the forum I saw a link posted to a 71 megabyte pdf file of the clymer manual that can be viewed / downloaded. Guess what? yep, now I can't find it. I have a clymer manual, but would like to find that link again. I thought it would be neat to be able to print out pages to use when working on the bike, so I can keep my manual nice and clean, (and readable). Anyone know the link, or whrer it is on the forum? thx |

The muffler is not stock. You would think that they would have used a stock bike. I didn't see a section on how to upgrade the muffler...... :-? |

Title: Re: Online Clymer manual Post by Steve M on 07/07/08 at 04:20:37 Now I know why I couldn't notice anything about the bike on the cover! As I said at the start of the thread I have a clymer manual and sorry guy's but that is the picture that is on my actual manual. It says inside that that cover photo was taken in Kansas and is of a 1987 Savage taken by a chap called Roger Pope. (I wonder if he'll read this?) at a place called Cyclops Cycle Products, Merriam, KS Later models from 1995 had different carburettors, and ignition systems, (cdi on the early model and map-i on the later models to meet more stringent emmissions regs), so my guess is that the exhaust may have changed as well and picture shows a standard 87 / 88 model of the bike? Of course there may be someone out there who knows the full story of the photo? |
