Title: Striped thread in cylinder head Post by shermeco on 07/02/08 at 19:42:44 So I did my plug cap repair and drove the bad boy home to NY from VA. So my question is what is the best way to fix this problem i was thinking about a helicoil but I'm not sure i have started tearing the engine down tonight and i have the head off just waiting for the cylinder head gasket to come in the mail to do the rest if any of you can give me and idea that would be great also when i took the bolt out the threads where attached to it i could twist them off with my hand it looked like a spring when i got it off it was weird |
