I'm bidding on indented drag bars 28" long. you thumpers with drag bars ever deal with indented bars? what are the pros and cons of installing them. oh yeah, they are 1" bars which i think the savage risers are... right?

I love this forum!!

They are 1".The indentations are for Harley controls, where the wires come out of them.No big deal, they're on the bottom anyway.

thanks demin. do you think it is possible to wire the controls without much hassle or should I just go non-indented? I've never broken open the controls enough to see if they are soldered in or not

indented means the bars are bent so the cables can come out side the bars.
I guess this is so some HD owners can install the wires on the inside of the bars.
We are so industrius though, our wires are always on the outside.

Just use your controls as is.Those dents are just for Harley wires. Our switches if you look at them have a notch for the wires to come out of them,so we don't need the dents.Harley does not notch their switch housings.

By now you've probably won your auction, but for reference purposes of those looking, you can use either set.

Chock one up to the Harley engineers to have to use indented bars rather than taking a small piece out of the control. Silly engineers.
