I could not use the Stock muffler gasket on my Harley Dyna muffler, it was too fat. The Harley muffler fits on a peice of 1 3/4" muffler pipe I got at Auto-Zone very nicely.... but I needed a thin sheet of Aluminun on the Suzuki header to fill the gap (Aluminum was thicker that paper but thinner that a credit card) So..... stock header pipe is real close to 1 3/4" OD but is smidgen smaller. The Stock Muffler is bigger than 1 3/4" ID because it uses a gasket. If you are replacing the header, and want to use the stock muffler (but why? :-? ) you may need to do something to the stock gasket to fit over the 1 3/4" OD pipe (sandpaper???) |

My exhaust tip has three segments, each one thicker as you move back. The very tim is 1 3/4, the next is 1 5/8, and the thickest is I dont know because I dont have a caliper. Freakin weird eh? |
