Title: Wrenching....
Post by Bleemus on 06/28/08 at 08:51:33

Just spent my first morning of wrenching on my new bike. Did the white spacer mod and tweaked the brass plug low idle settings. What a nice difference it makes to not be backfiring constantly!

What a wonderful bike that you can actually work on without a computer! Shade tree mechanics still exist!

Thanks to all for their help.

Bleemus,

I'm a rider, not a wrencher; but this bike is so easy to work on, it actually makes wrenching fun! Kinda like working on my old VW bug. The real one, not that imitation "bug" Volkswagon came out with a couple of years ago.
The bike is a real joy. Have fun!
Ride safe,
Jay

I'm not much of a wrencher either, but I sure have learned to start replacing those cheap soft bolts and screws with good ones.
