Title: adjustable needle
Post by bruno on 06/27/08 at 21:21:57

Hello all ,
new member here and have a few questions . I recently purchased my 07 s40 w/2200 miles and to have the dreaded puff/backfire on decel and shutdown . I have went thru this site but haven't seen where anyone has mentioned using the dynojet adjustable needle that comes with their jet kits . Has anyone tried this to get rid of backfire? My second question is I have purchased 2 2005 dyna takeoffs will these work as a replacement mufflers ? thanks guys !

yep those adjustable needles are good to go cause its either that or the white spacer mod.  some have done the white spacer mod instead or with rejeting and adjusting the idle mixture.

dyna is the recommended HD muf to use.  And you can sell the extra one in no time flat if you have a good price.

Some Keihin needles have 7 clicks, they cost around £6.50 which isn't too bad for a precision part.
