Title: White spacer photo?
Post by Bleemus on 06/27/08 at 12:15:05

My Clymers won't be here till Tuesday and I wanted to do the spacer mod this weekend. I did find the White Spacer Mod thread in the Tech section but I don't see a photo that shows exactly where it is on the carb. Not being a carb expert it wasn't easy for me to figure out from the description. I am just stupid.

Can someone point me to a picture of where on the carb I am looking to pull this out?

Thanks.

I know there's pic somewhere

look in the tech section, Savage Wahines carb clean shows a pic of the spacer and associated bits.
And there's a thread on the mid range and white spacer too.

Hmmm,  Just looking at this in the garage it appears that the frame is wide enough under the tank to get this diaphragm cover off without removing the whole carb.  Is this just wishful thinking or am I in for a full carb removal?

Not wishful thinking....    ;D
The cover of the vacuum thingy comes off thru the farme. just need to take the tank off.

You may want to put an old rag over the starter.  There is a black hole underneath it that swallows up the carb screw that accidentally fall and get sucked into the gravitational hole that resides there.
