Title: Jet Coating?
Post by daweise1 on 06/22/08 at 18:31:12

I had this on my BMW R1100S and loved it. Getting a quote for matte black for my 2004 Savage, but thought I would see if anyone else had experience with it on a Savage

Saw several picutures of flat Black bikes here but that may have been primer.

I do know they make matte & flat clear coat.

For the record, Jet Coat contacted me back and the whole thing is going to run me $221 for the internal and external coatings in matte black with shipping and stripping of the chrome off.... Small price to pay since it did save me a fortune in car parts and my life..... Long story short, ripping open a head on a BMW and having a "oil fountain" on a hot exhaust is very, very bad.... I had this coating and the bike did not go Boom......

Will be done this winter when the "tins" go in for paint and the rest is powercoated......
