Title: difference in tire sizes? Post by Cornerstore3000 on 06/22/08 at 08:43:04 I have been looking around at different tire options because I feel everyday that these stock IRC's are going to KILL me. I can not stand the way the perform or lack there of. I found some tires that I really like out there but we kind of have an odd rear tire size. What is the overall difference between a 140/80-15 and a 140/90-15? I see a lot more of the 90's out there for rear tires. I can find the front tires with no problem. Thanks for any help in advance. |

Lasted 5,000 miles, tho, then,I felt qualified riding on ice, cuz thats what the crappy IRC felt like. Get a tirre on that thing. |

Title: Re: difference in tire sizes? Post by Educatedredneck on 06/22/08 at 20:45:19 Hey Toymaker - Did you have any clearance issue with the 150 tire? Other that the normal bolt issues? |
Title: Re: difference in tire sizes? Post by Toymaker on 06/22/08 at 20:49:14 Nope...the only problem I have is when I 2-up. I had to put the shocks on the highest preload when my daughter and I ride together...but I am a little beefy...230 lbs. other than that....nope :D |
Title: Re: difference in tire sizes? Post by Cornerstore3000 on 06/22/08 at 22:16:33 Sweet thanks, I would have gotten back to you guys sooner but we were out on a Poker run for kids with Diabetes. That maxxis tire is exactly the one that I'm looking at. I knew it wouldn't be a huge difference but just wanted to make sure. I got my bike in late feb with 1600 miles on it and today I went over 4700 and the back tire is starting to look a little flat. |
