Title: Has anyone d/led the Sukuki manual from here?
Post by Todd Perry on 06/18/08 at 14:05:42

I'm looking at purchasing this manual:

http://store.payloadz.com/str-asp-i.135365-n.1986_-_2004_Suzuki_Savage_LS650_Service_Shop_Repair_Manual_BONUS_Par_eBooks_-end-detail.html

...but wanted to see if there's someone out there who's done it first.

The price is OK, but it's been my past experience that if this is a scanned and pdf-converted version of the manual, the quality can be anything from crystal clear to pretty lousy. I got bit hard on a VW manual once that way. Great fun when you get half-way through an engine rebuild and can't make out the torque specs!

Anyway, if it's a "direct" pdf (i.e. created on a computer), they're usually great. Scans, however.... are another story.

Can anyone comment if this is worth spending my ice cream money on this week?  8-)

I think it's a Clymer, not the Suzuki shop manual.  There's a pdf link somewhere on the forum already.

Before you purchase it, somewhere in the tech section (I think) is a link to the clymers online, which you can print out for a lot cheaper than the cost of the actual manual.

Well, I suppose that's not surprising, actually. Makes more sense with the price and all.

Looking it over a bit more thoroughly, I think I may pass anyway. It honestly looks like the site is set up so that people can "sell" things they don't really have the copyright for. As the son of two musicians, I'm a little picky when it comes to intellectual property.

Thanks for the look!

Thanks for the link. Downloading now.

I assume the registration statement (in Dutch, i think) doesn't commit me to the overthrow of the free world  :D

Still would love to find an online version of the Suzuki manual, but this will get me started.
