You might check out the FSSNOC site.  It's not Savages only, but includes all four stroke, single cylinder bikes.

I would love to buy a Savage t-shirt, but I'm not into skulls.  Any other designs?

I second that. I really want a few Suzuki Savage shirts, or even a Suzuki shirt, But i don't really dig the one on this site. I'm not knockin the job the guy did on the design, it's just not my thing..

Title: Re: Club
Post by sluggo on 06/17/08 at 22:36:06

i too thought the skull was a bit much, but after wearing it awhile it really grown on ya..  i think gregs engine graphic would be great on the front of the next addition.  if you only knew what it took to get that, you would be happy with the selection.

i'm not a "club" type of guy, what we got going here is pretty fun.
kinda like a party that's been going on for four years. revelers come and go, the core group stays the same. and because of that things sometimes get rehashed over and over again. like "what oil should i use"  or how do i change the air in my tires, and how often should i do it.  8-)

I usually have to change tires cause I wear 'em out before the air gets stale enough to change.  I guess I should save and reuse the old air?  :P

Or maybe you could re-sell it on e-bay and make a buck for some "vintage tire air".

Title: Re: Club
Post by Toymaker on 06/18/08 at 03:55:41

On that vintage tire air, you could really clean up and on mail it "Airmail"

I can see it now...

"Vintage Tire Air" $1.00

Shipping and handling...$20.00 AIR MAIL ONLY

I second Sluggo's idea regarding Greg's engine graphic. It would make a great t-shirt.

I am a club guy and like the idea of a Savage organization, group, club or whatever, that operates within suzukisavage.com.

Title: Re: Club
Post by forrest on 06/18/08 at 05:32:37

I like the engine idea to.  But how about the large graphic on the back and a small logo where are pocket would go on the front?

Title: Re: Club
Post by Toymaker on 06/18/08 at 05:50:14

 I triple the idea.

Title: Re: Club

Agreed.  Maybe a different color or even a few options?

You guys don't learn do you?
We tried designing the 1st shirt by commitee and it was never made.
John made his own shirt and gotrdone.
If you want it, go get it made, sell some to us. getrdone.

http://www.andruschak.net/savage/FTP/tshirt01.jpg
Image File (http://www.andruschak.net/savage/FTP/tshirt02.jpg) for above, 1200x1480 pixels, which will screen print at 12" x 14.8" at 100 dpi.
Typical t-shirt printing company (http://www.tshirtpros.com/) will do an order of 25 Hanes Beefy pocket T-shirts for $11.05 each, plus $37 setup, plus tax?, plus shipping from Culver City.  (these are the guys who paid Google for top spot)

A bit over $300 up front.  John was willing to front the money for his version, I am not.  You like it?  Go for it!  Use my version of the graphic in exchange for one medium t-shirt.  Printing on front in addition to the back adds to the cost, as does printing in other than monochrome.

Or you could take Greg's picture and use http://www.cafepress.com to create them.  If somebody wanted to set up a shop from them, I'd sure it could be done.

Title: Re: Club
Post by SimonTuffGuy on 06/18/08 at 11:45:39

I second CafePress... I've ordered lots of stuff there for my own website and it's always come out looking good... I did get a crappy order once (looked like the printers ran out of ink) and they sent me double what I ordered, free of charge.

One day an out of work mime is visiting the zoo and attempts to earn some money as a street performer. As soon as he starts to draw a crowd, a zoo keeper grabs him and drags him into his office. The zoo keeper explains to the mime that the zoo's most popular attraction, a gorilla, has died suddenly and the keeper fears that attendance at the zoo will fall off. He offers the mime a job to dress up as the gorilla until they can get another one. The mime accepts.

So the next morning the mime puts on the gorilla suit and enters the cage before the crowd comes. He discovers that it's a great job. He can sleep all he wants, play and make fun of people and he draws bigger crowds than he ever did as a mime. However, eventually the crowds tire of him and he tires of just swinging on tires. He begins to notice that the people are paying more attention to the lion in the cage next to his. Not wanting to lose the attention of his audience, he climbs to the top of his cage, crawls across a partition, and dangles from the top to the lion's cage. Of course, this makes the lion furious, but the crowd loves it.

At the end of the day the zoo keeper comes and gives the mime a raise for being such a good attraction. Well, this goes on for some time, the mime keeps taunting the lion, the crowds grow larger, and his salary keeps going up. Then one terrible day when he is dangling over the furious lion he slips and falls. The mime is terrified.

The lion gathers itself and prepares to pounce. The mime is so scared that he begins to run round and round the cage with the lion close behind. Finally, the mime starts screaming and yelling, "Help, Help me!", but the lion is quick and pounces. The mime soon finds himself flat on his back looking up at the angry lion and the lion says, "Shut up you idiot! Do you want to get us both fired?"

Random, but I'm bored.   ::)

Then we could put them on the back of our vests...

Here's my attempt at a T-shirt.  I think I'll take it in and see what the screen printers would charge me to do it right.  Who knows... maybe this one will hold up.  I have my doubts, though.  It's an iron-on of a picture I took.

http://a89.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/23/l_56ca0fa93e106e022c6e252d264bfc50.jpg

It'll be the official "Sandy and His Savage" club logo.  I'll be the president, and the mailing list will be reeeeeeeally short.   I'll probably have to let Kay join, but I can just yell the upcoming events across the room at her.  "GET YOUR HELMET, WOMAN!  LET'S GO FOR A RIDE!"  No need for mail.  ;D

If she knew I said stuff like that on here, she'd beat me up.

Title: Re: Club
Post by Paladin. on 06/20/08 at 20:03:12

Screen printing is one color per screen.  Each grey of a greyscale image count as a separate color.  The iron-ons are printed out in color and then ironed onto the t-shirt... adding a stiff slightly glossy rectangle.

Christmas 2003, just after Wendy got her new car, I had a  t-shirt (http://www.andruschak.net/breyer/blog/archives/001925.html) printed for her by http://breyer.andruschak.net/blog/images/photo-t-shirt.jpg (http://www.photo-t-shirt.com/main.htm).
I can vouch that the printing is done onto the shirt directly and you cannot feel the image.  Full color, but only on white.
