Title: running lights question Post by SavageGreaseMonkey13 on 06/13/08 at 16:03:35 The other day i noticed that my front turn signals stay light when running but my rear turn signals dont. all the blinkers work right. could someone check theirs for me and let me know if this is supposed to be like this? Thanks Mario |
Title: Re: running lights question Post by Sandy Koocanusa on 06/13/08 at 16:14:19 I certainly am glad you asked. Not only did I discover that mine is the same as yours, but also that my taillight filament was broken. Maybe I'll just go fix that. :) |

Title: Re: running lights question Post by verslagen1 on 06/13/08 at 17:28:29 Running lights in the rear must be red. |
Title: Re: running lights question Post by vtail on 06/13/08 at 17:46:37 Yep Verslagen is right. Only front running lights. I put on rear red LED running lights about $8 ea and 2 minutes to mount. Bell bike lights. Operate on 2 AAA olmost forever (well sort of). Nice thing is, in a blinking mode with the 4way flashers going at the same time it looks like a christmas tree. Great in roadside emergencies. http://w3.bikepics.com/pics/2007/11/24/bikepics-1096698-800.jpg http://w3.bikepics.com/pics/2007/11/24/bikepics-1096697-800.jpg |

Title: Re: running lights question Post by Texasphotographer on 06/14/08 at 06:21:53 About a month ago I was riding at night for the first time. I noticed that myfront left turn light was on, but not the right one. However, when I turned on the right turn signal it blinked, but did not stay on as the left one did. I simply replaced the bulb and now both front lights are on all of the time, but again, not the rear lights unless I am signaling. |

Title: Re: running lights question Post by vtail on 06/14/08 at 12:01:07 Great looking paladine. Too bad it doesn't fit Suzuki's '04 and newer ;) |
Title: Re: running lights question Post by PhilM on 06/14/08 at 13:38:28 No running lights on mine, or on the one other savage I've ridden with at night. You don't often see running lights on bikes here in the UK. I'm guessing it's one of the differences on the UK model. If it is then I wonder what component they swapped out/rewired? edit/ just checked & any front running lights have to emit white light over here (rear must be red). |
